If you have a direct debit Leisureplexes membership or are thinking of signing up, these frequently asked questions (FAQs) may help.

We offer direct debit Leisureplex memberships available for adults from $15.50* per week, with discounts for Concession Card holders.

The membership options include:

  • Leisureplex Choice, which gives you the choice of a Fitness or Aquatic membership
  • Leisureplex Plus, which allows you to access to both Fitness and Aquatic

Our direct debit memberships have no joining fee, no lock in contract and no termination fee. An initial payment is required to activate your membership. The direct debit amount is subject to price revision, as approved by the City of Canning.

Direct debit membership fees can be paid from any valid cheque or savings account, or Visa or Mastercard cards. The City uses a third-party provider Ezidebit to manage our Leisure Service Direct Debits. The direct debit amount is deducted automatically from your nominated account every 14 days from the start of your membership.

New customers must complete the Direct Debit Request Service Form and Membership Application, which can be done in-person at either Leisureplex or online.

No, there is no pre-approval process and you will not be credit checked. You must meet the direct debit instalment payment commitments once you enter a direct debit agreement with us.

You can end the direct debit membership agreement by providing 14 days advance notice in writing to us at leisureplex@canning.wa.gov.au. Please mark the email Attention: Direct Debit Leisure Team.

Confirmation of your email will be provided within three working days. During the 14 days notification period, one final direct debit instalment payment will be drawn from your bank account and payments will then cease. Your membership will remain active during the notification period.

Your membership can be put on hold for a minimum of seven days and a maximum of 90 days, for no more than 180 days each calendar year. You can make this request in-person at one of our centres for a cost of $5 or you can do it online at no cost (PDF 350KB).

As your membership is paid by direct debit, the appropriate debit amount will be calculated on a pro rata basis just before or after your membership is active again.

A pro rata credit amount cannot be refunded. When your membership reactivates after a time stop, the next debit amount will be reduced by the pro rata credit.

If you wish to cancel your membership whilst on time stop, you will need to provide your request in writing and your membership will be cancelled after the 14-day notice period. Any pro rata credit will reduce your final debit amount.

A failed direct debit payment will result in your membership being suspended until the failed payment has been paid. These outstanding payments must be paid at the Leisureplex Reception counter or by credit card over the phone.

As per your terms of agreement with our third-party provider Ezidebit, a direct debit dishonour fee may apply.

If a payment is rejected because of insufficient funds during your membership, then we may cancel your membership.

Please see our customer service staff at either Leisureplex when you're in. We are unable to accept bank account details via email due to PCI DSS compliance, which protects data and safeguards our customers.
