The City of Canning is inviting local young people aged 10-13, to take part in a six-week Urban Arts Mural Workshop, a program that builds creativity, confidence and community pride while tackling graffiti and antisocial behaviour.
- When: Wednesdays, 5 November – 10 December
- Where: Bentley
- Who: Young people ages 10-13
- Cost: Free – registration required.
Facilitated by artist and art therapist Olivia Robinson, the workshops offer participants the chance to:
- Explore mural design and street art techniques
- Take part in mentoring and conversations about mental health and positive community impact
- Design and paint a community mural on a City facility
- Enjoy a free meal at the start of every session
This initiative is part of the City’s Safe Canning Strategy, which focuses on building safe, connected and engaged neighbourhoods, and is proudly supported by the Department of Justice.
