Career Accelerator Program 2025

Job seekers from multicultural communities are invited to join a free six-part workshop series running from 21 July to 1 December 2025 to build skills, confidence, and career opportunities.
The Career Accelerator Program: Bridging Cultures, Building Futures is aimed at reducing employment barriers and improving job opportunities for people from multicultural backgrounds. Participants will:
- get job-seeking advice and coaching from career-building expert Cema Santos
- refresh their resumes and cover letters with guidance from experts
- explore career pathways and discover in-demand jobs and skills
- grow their professional network
- boost their digital skills through the use of AI, Google and Canva.
The program will be held at Hillview Intercultural Centre and will include the following work readiness workshops:
- Session 1 – Career strategy and storytelling on Monday 21 July 2025, 10.30am to 12.30pm
- Session 2 – Resume translation for the Australian market on Monday 18 August 2025, 10.30am to 12.30pm
- Session 3 – AI-powered resume and cover letter tailoring on Monday 15 September 2025, 10.30am to 12.30pm
- Session 4 – Targeted job search strategies on Monday 13 October 2025, 10.30am to 12.30pm
- Session 5 – LinkedIn optimisation and networking on Monday 10 November 2025, 10.30am to 12.30pm
- Session 6 – Celebration morning tea and meet with recruiters on Monday 1 December 2025, 10.30am to 12.30pm
There will also be hands-on digital support sessions once a month to assist participants to practice the digital skills they learn in the masterclasses.
All participants will be presented with Certificates of completion at the end of the program.
