Mayor Patrick Hall said this year’s Canning Art Awards showcases a brilliant level of talent from both professional and amateur artists.
“This year we had an overwhelming response to our call for pieces, which has resulted in over 200 pieces on display at Riverton Library.
“The diversity of the artworks is fantastic, with an amazing range of beautiful pieces across different mediums and styles.
“I would like to congratulate the winners of this year’s Awards and acknowledge all the artists who submitted their amazing artworks,” said Mayor Hall.
The People’s Choice Award will be announced at the end of the exhibition, so there is still time for the community to come along and vote for their favourite artwork.
Visitors can also purchase their favourite artwork with most artworks for sale throughout the Exhibition.
The Canning Art Awards will run daily until 28 September at Riverton Library from 10am – 3pm.
