The City of Canning is excited to announce its first Community Safety Expo, a free event designed for residents to learn more about community safety and emergency services in Canning.

Mayor Hall has expressed his support for this event as it aligns with the City’s commitment to work together for a safe community.

"We are thrilled to launch the Community Safety Expo, which will provide our residents with a unique opportunity to engage with various partners and learn about community safety services and programs available to them." said Mayor Hall.

The Community Safety Expo will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm at the Canning Town Hall, corner of Albany Highway and George Street W. The first 50 attendees will enjoy a free exclusive Safety Expo goodie bag.

Attendees can expect to meet representatives from the City's Ranger and Community Safety Service, WA Police Force, Department of Fire and Emergency Services, St John Ambulance, Neighbourhood Watch WA, WA State Emergency Service, Transport WA, Road Safety Commission and more.

The Expo will be a family-friendly event with kid’s activities, mascots, fire truck demonstrations, ambulance tours, free bike maintenance checks, a Constable Care theatre performance, free kids face painting, competitions, prizes, sausage sizzle, coffee van and more.

Registrations for the event are essential, and residents can register and find out more information at Eventbrite.
