The City of Canning is proud to announce a program of free events and activities to celebrate International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) 2025.

IDPwD is observed globally on 3 December each year, as a United Nations-sanctioned day aimed at:

  • increasing public awareness
  • promoting understanding and acceptance of people with disability
  • celebrating their achievements and contributions to society.

Western Australia's theme for 2025 is ‘Celebrating our Unity’, highlighting the power of working together to create better outcomes for people of all abilities. This theme recognises and honours the knowledge, experience, and unique perspectives of people with disability, reinforcing the importance of inclusion and collaboration in our communities.

The City of Canning will mark this important occasion with a series of inclusive and engaging free activities from 27 November to 7 December 2025. Community members are invited to participate in these events which are designed to foster unity, promote accessibility, and celebrate the rich diversity within our community.

Join us as we come together to celebrate!
