METRONET Works – Temporary Thoroughfare Closure – Railway Parade, Queens Park
METRONET would like to inform you about the proposed temporary thoroughfare closure in your area, from Monday, 11 March 2024 to Sunday, 5 May 2024, as part of the METRONET Victoria Park-Canning Level Crossing Removal Project.
This proposed closure is essential for the relocation of waterpipes with some road modifications required that will reduce Wharf Street (near the Railway Parade intersection) to a single lane in each direction.
The proposed road closure will impact road and shared path users on Railway Parade in Queens Park (between George and Wharf streets). Access for local residents will be maintained, however will be via alternate routes (see map for reference).
A reduction in speed and temporary lane closures are necessary to safely undertake these works. Road conditions may be unfamiliar, so motorists are asked to exercise caution, allow extra travel time and follow traffic management signage during this period.
Plans detailing the area affected by the closure can be viewed on the METRONET project website.
Submissions may be lodged in writing to the project team by email (alucommunications@alualliance.com.au) or by post (Armadale Line Upgrade Alliance, 71 Ewing Street, Bentley, WA, 6102). The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Wednesday, 21 February 2024.
For further information please contact the project team on 9326 3666 or via email at alucommunications@alualliance.com.au.
