Electric vehicles (EVs) are a hot topic right now. There is lots of conflicting information which might be making it hard for you to work out whether an EV would work for you. Come along to have all your EV questions answered, including:

  • types of electric vehicles and how they work
  • how much they cost
  • rebates and the Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) exemption
  • how to calculate if an electric vehicle will save you money based on your driving patterns
  • the good things about electric vehicles and how to maximise them
  • how charging works
  • things to be aware of on road trips
  • vehicle to grid and vehicle to load systems and how to use them
  • towing
  • reputable sources of information about electric vehicles and much more!

Your workshop facilitator is Sarah McCabe. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science and a Graduate Certificate in Carbon and Energy Studies. She has owned an electric vehicle for 5 years and worked with a variety of organisations helping develop business cases for electric vehicle adoption.

For adults and youth 15+. This workshop is hosted by the City of Canning in partnership with Switch Your Thinking.
