Foodbank Food Drive – 3 to 16 August 2026
For the fifth year in a row, the City has partnered with Foodbank WA to run a Food Drive throughout Homelessness Week.
Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief charity making a positive difference in the lives of many Australians. Last year, Foodbank sourced the equivalent of 92 million meals for charity partners and school breakfast programs throughout the country.
From the 3-16 August Foodbank donation boxes will be placed at the drop off locations listed below:
- City of Canning Civic and Administration Centre
- Cannington Library
- Riverton Library
- Willetton Library
What can I donate?
All non-perishable items that are not past their expiry date are accepted.
Items in high demand are:
- Canned meals
- Canned fruit and veggies
- Long-life milk
- Pasta sauce, spreads, jams
- Nappies, baby food, formula
- Pasta and rice
- Cereal and oats
- Toilet paper, deodorant, soap
- Canned fruit
- Canned fish
- Meal bases
