COVID-19 Update

Masks are mandatory in all public indoor settings until further notice.

Some exemptions apply, including people with disabilities, people doing vigorous indoor exercise and children in primary school or younger. Customers using the gym, participating in group fitness classes, playing sports, swimming and water exercising are not required to wear masks.

In line with Western Australian government health directions, as of Monday 31 January 2022, proof of vaccination requirements will affect both City of Canning’s Leisureplexes (Cannington and Riverton Leisureplexes) and Community Venues. Please be advised the facilities it will affect are Gyms, Cafes, Crèche & Play Centre, Community Venues (halls/function centres used for fitness, or the use of specific Function Centres that have a licensed capacity over 250 pax).

Please note there will be a request of an official proof of vaccination or a certificate of medical exemption for guests over the age of 16, wishing to gain access to these facilities at both Riverton and Cannington Leisureplex. Entry will be denied if official proof of vaccination or a certificate of medical exemption cannot be presented.

As these are facilities are located at different areas of each Leisureplex, there will be occasions where proof of vaccination will be requested multiple times. Please be cooperative with staff members as they adjust to these new State Government Health Guidelines.
