Celebrating New Business Journeys at Hillview!
This week we celebrated the successful completion of the Building a Successful Home-Based Small Business Program, with 25 participants receiving their certificates after completing a series of workshops designed to help turn business ideas into reality.
Delivered through a partnership between the City of Canning and the City of Belmont, the program engaged Business Foundations to facilitate the workshops and provide expert guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs.
Participants explored key topics including business planning, market research, branding, marketing, financial management, legal requirements, and the practical steps involved in establishing and growing a sustainable home-based business.
The program attracted a diverse group of participants with interests ranging from food businesses and online retail to interpreting services, marketing, handmade products, and creative enterprises.
A special thank you to Dee Simich and Rebecca Ruiz from Business Foundations for sharing their knowledge, experience, and practical tools throughout the program.
Through these programs, Hillview Intercultural Community Centre is supporting lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, and economic participation by creating opportunities for community members to build skills, confidence, and connections.
Congratulations to all participants on achieving this milestone. We look forward to following your business journeys and celebrating your future successes.
