Each year our Youth Services team runs the City of Canning Youth Fest.

The Youth Fest brings young people together for a fun day of cheap eats, DJs, photobooths, inflatables, and lots more fun activities.

Youth Fest is a drug, smoke and alcohol-free event for young people aged 11-18 year only. Parents, guardians, and older siblings are asked to please not attend the event.

The details for the 2023 Youth Fest will be announced early in the new year.

2022 Youth Fest

In 2022 we decided to run not one, but two incredible Youth Fests!

We swung open the doors to our Lynwood and Willetton Youth Centres, where young people experienced our music room, enjoyed board games, and played with our pool tables.

This was supported by an afternoon full of activities in the park next door, including:

  • inflatables including water slides, bouncy castles and gladiator dual
  • cheap eats with food trucks
  • live DJ spinning all the hits
  • photobooth with printable photos to take home
  • spray art activities with local services like The End Stop, headspace, MercyCare and Edmund Rice Centre WA.

Information for parents and guardians

We are committed to providing environments where young people can feel welcomed and thrive. Our qualified youth team will do all they can to ensure young people are safe, supported and supervised during their time at the event.

The Youth Fest is delivered in line with current Department of Health COVID safety recommendations.
