Canning Town Hall

The beautiful Canning Town Hall was built in 1909. It is a heritage-listed building and has undergone renovation and restoration to make it accessible.

The Canning Town Hall is located in the City of Canning parklands, on the corner of George Street West and Albany Highway. It features:

  • hall and foyer area
  • kitchen facilities on both hall and mezzanine level
  • stage
  • wooden flooring
  • lift access to mezzanine level.

The hall is suitable for:

  • weddings
  • meetings / seminars
  • community events
  • birthday parties
  • engagement parties
  • graduation celebrations.

The capacity is 140 for standing and 120 for sitting down.

Parking

The hall has parking bays, including accessible parking bays (parking cannot be guaranteed)

Town Hall parking – weekdays

Parking is at the rear of the Administration Building.

When unloading equipment and items, use the loading bays at the front of the Administration Building. Driving on pathways or in the parklands is not permitted.

Accessibility

  • The hall is fully wheelchair accessible.
  • Accessible car-parking bays.
  • Access from car parks to main entrance and accessible toilets.

Tables and chairs are included with the cost of the room. The Main Hall has 120 chairs and 20 tables available.

Standard rate

The standard rate applies to most bookings of the venue hire.

Community rate

The community rate applies to not-for-profit organisations or those with a certificate of incorporation. This is required with your booking application.
