Waterslides and Bombie Pool

With waterslides and a bombie pool, our Leisureplexes are great fun for kids.

Free waterslide usage

At both Cannington and Riverton Leisureplex with every paid entry.

  • Everyone permitted to ride.
  • Children under 6yrs must ride with an adult.

Cannington

Cannington Leisureplex has an exciting waterslide. It is open at these times:

  • During school holidays – 9.30am to 12.30pm, and 1pm to 4pm
  • On public holidays – 1pm to 4pm
  • During the school term – Weekends only from 9.30am to 12.30pm, and 1pm to 4pm

Riverton

Riverton Leisureplex has a waterslide and a bombie pool. The bombie pool is a deep pool where "bombies" and jumping are allowed.

The waterslide is open at these times:

  • During school holidays – 9.30am to 12.30pm, and 1pm to 4pm
  • On public holidays – 1pm to 4pm
  • During the school term – Weekends only from 9.30am to 12.30pm, and 1pm to 4pm

The bombie pool is open at these times:

  • During school holidays – 9.30am to 12.30pm, and 1pm to 4pm
  • On public holidays – 1pm to 4pm
  • During the school term – 1pm to 4pm

Support Slides

The Support Slides program provides a session where those who live with a disability can access and use the waterslide at Riverton Leisureplex.

The session are 2pm to 2.30pm on Thursday afternoon during the school term. The sessions are free of charge with any normal entry paid or membership scanned at entry.

If immediate support is required, please show your companion card on arrival and your support person(s) will enter for free.

Exclusive Hire

The slides and bombie pool are available for exclusive hire for events, programs, and private use. To make a book, please complete the application form and email to bookings@canning.wa.gov.au. All bookings must adhere to the Bookings Terms and Conditions and Conditions of Entry.

Waterslide rules

Disregarding these rules will result in the direction to leave the centre:

  • walk up the stairway
  • wait for your turn patiently, one person per step
  • ride the slide one person at a time
  • riders must immediately exit the run out when the ride is finished
  • children under 6 years must ride with their parent/guardian
  • maximum safe riding limit of 120kg
  • glass bottles, articles containing glass and sharp objects are not to be carried or used while on or near the waterslide and surrounds
  • riders are not to wear any personal effects while riding (e.g. jewellery, watches, spectacles and goggles)
  • riders must sit forward facing or lay on their back to ride feet-first down the waterslide
  • riders must wait for and follow the direction of the supervising staff member
  • riders under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not permitted to ride and will be asked to leave the centre
  • it is advised that the following groups of people refrain from riding:
    • if you are pregnant
    • if you suffer from heart ailments
    • if you have a pre-existing injury
  • All other conditions of entry displayed throughout the centre

WARNING: bumps and abrasions may occur, as with all thrill rides.

Management reserve the right to refuse entry to any person for any reason considered to create a potential hazard for themselves or others.
