Critical accident in Queens Park

The City of Canning is deeply saddened by the death of a person following an accident involving a City recycling truck in Queens Park.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the person’s family and loved ones, and all those affected by this tragic accident. The City is also providing support to the staff member involved.

WA Police Major Crash Investigation Section is investigating the circumstances of the accident and the City is assisting fully with its enquiries. Further information, including details for anyone who may have witnessed the accident or have relevant footage, is available from WA Police.

While the investigation is underway, it would not be appropriate for the City to comment further on the circumstances of the accident.
