King's Birthday Opening Hours

Many of the City of Canning’s services will have different operating hours on the King’s Birthday public holiday on Monday, 28 September 2026.

Civic and Administration Centre

The City of Canning Civic and Administration Building will be closed for the King’s Birthday public holiday on Monday, 28 September 2026 and will reopen on Tuesday, 29 September 2026.

Waste Collection

Collection services for rubbish or recycling will be operating as normal.

Waste Transfer Station

The Ranford Road Resource Recovery and Waste Transfer Station will be open as normal on the King's Birthday public holiday from 8am – 4.30pm (vehicle entry closes at 4.15pm).

Ranger and Community Safety Services

Our Ranger and Community Safety Services will continue to operate 24 hours a day.

Leisureplexes

The Cannington and Riverton Leisureplexes will be open on Monday 28 September 2026 from 7am to 6pm.

Modified fitness timetable. Swimming lessons will not run. Both creches will be closed.

Whaleback

Whaleback will be open on Monday 28 September 2026. First tee-off is from 6am.

Hillview Intercultural Community Centre

The Hillview Intercultural Community Centre will be closed for the King’s Birthday public holiday on Monday, 28 September 2026 and will reopen on Tuesday, 29 September 2026.
